shutters, sod and a tree!

we stopped by the new house a few times this week! we may not be going inside anymore, but just going to look at it is SO much fun.

i didn't want to ruin these gorgeous wood floors!

 

and this is the house as of yesterday. SO in love with this new adventure of ours.

 

it's hard to believe that in about 6 weeks our dream will come true. the gray house will be ours just in time for thanksgiving & christmas! 

ps. in our current neighborhood, some lucky houses up front have trees that grow tall will BIG leaves that turn pretty colors in the fall and they fall scattered across the lawns making them SO pretty. it isn't upstate new york, but it's my small dose of fall here in the south. sadly, we only have a palm tree at this house. no pretty leaves, just random bark. but, i googled the tree in our new yard & i am pretty sure it's the kind that i have coveted since we first moved to this house. i can't wait for the tree to grow taller. i won't even complain if i have to rake up leaves on a blistery fall afternoon. well, you know, a hot sunny afternoon in these parts. but still, i'll take whatever piece of autumn i can.
