This week we have a couple of busy nights so I'm going for simple + kid friendly meals. Anyone else have kids that are stuck in a picky eating phase? Finding meals that make everyone happy is my least favorite part of meal planning in this stage of our life. Do you have any picky kid-friendly meals that are winners?

I (attempt!) to meal plan every week. I say attempt, because it's still something I'm trying to build into my routine. It's the worst feeling when 3 o'clock rolls around and it's time to get one kid from school and gear up from the evening and realize you have no dinner plans. My kids are always hungry after school and I try to have healthy snacks in the house but if we, inevitably, end up at the grocery store for dinner plans, everyone is cranky and I spend too much money.
So, meal planning and online grocery pickup for the win over here! Do you meal plan? Have you tried ordering groceries online? I'm so intrigued by the ins and outs of other people's routines + life!
It's Sunday night and everyone is in bed. I'm staying up to order groceries online (have you tried it yet? I'm in love!) and tackle a load or two of laundry.
This was a quiet week for us. I've been out of town a lot so it was a catch-up week. Lots of cleaning and running kids to wherever they need to be. We did cook up a great steak salad together one night and introduced the kids to their first Star Wars movie. Ever since M and I watched the series, the kids have been obsessed with the characters (especially Nico!). They loved it!
Easter is only a little over a week away! Despite the weather the un-spring like weather that's been happening up and down the east coast, I'm still really excited to fill some baskets with spring-y goods. Our kids really love easter - visiting the EB, putting on a fresh new outfits, dying eggs with koolaid! We always keep it pretty simple though with a fun breakfast, an egg hunt at home, and opening their baskets to find lots of treats and little gifts. I try to limit the candy that they get in their baskets (they get so much already from our families!) so instead I focus on things like a new book or two, something they need for the new season (like swimsuits or pajamas) and a Jellycat stuffy. I'm more of a quality over quanity gal when it comes to holidays, so today I'm sharing a few of the things we love for easter basket fillers.

It's been months since I've posted! And, FOREVER, since I've posted semi-regularly. I love writing about our lives and documenting all the small bits and pieces that make up the story of our lives. But, for a long while now, instead of feeling inspired by blogs and Instagram and Pinterest, I've been feeling overwhelmed and weighed down by it all.
