There's so many smart and funny and good things on the Internet. Here's just a few!

Blast from the past - Google Maps has turned into PAC-MAN! And check out the list of clues to help you find him in various cities.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream sneakers.

I love the look of these hand-painted photographs.

Last minute ideas for April Fool's Day!

I'm feeling like I need to get on the brookie (brownie + cookie!) train.

Adding black walls to my house bucket list.

Things are been a little crazy around here but I hope you have a few moments in your day to enjoy these!

ON A MONDAY

March 23, 2015

It's a gray Monday and we're looking down the tunnel of a very long week ahead. M will miss out on family dinners around four times. He's working six days this week, in class two nights and has a long errand another night.

The babe had his two month check up today, he got three shots and has mostly refused to nap today. I'm attempting to cook up some rice and beans for a dinner I can only pray my girl eats. And the battle between the dog and the squirrels on a daily basis is making me slightly batty.

But, some laundry was tackled and I found a few quiet moments to sit and talk with L over Barbies and both kids were angels at the pediatrician. Some days I find myself repeating in my head "it's okay, this is the season of life you're in now" when I see people tackling goals or making plans and going on date nights and eating dinner with both hands or getting a good night of sleep. This is our season and we're just going to love it to pieces because it won't last. Nothing ever does - the good or the bad.

So, here's to this very long week and prayers of sanity and chocolate.

Reading... A Fault in Our Stars for book club. And, I'm excited to start this one for me.

Pinning... this piece of art.

Smiling... when N giggles.

Thrifting... all the wooden finds I can. Chunky candlesticks, frames and toys.

Excited for... Spring and tiny rompers and getting outside.

Putting away... tiny newborn clothes.

Wearing... Nicolas everywhere I can.

Binging... on Orange is the New Black during late night feedings.

Eating... peanut butter cups.

Planning... some fun things for Easter and M's birthday!

Listening to... all the funny and smart things my girl has been saying lately. Also, all of her tantrums and "I'm mad at you"s.

Feeling... tired and anxious and overwhelmed but still somehow at peace many days and so blessed. It's a weird mix of emotions.

Making... pizza for dinner on this Friday night.

Signing... L up for kindergarten and still not sure how that's possible!

Please feel free to link up any of your "currently" posts in the comments, xo!

HARSES, HARSES, HARSES...

Harses, Harses, Harses. Because Meg Ryan is the best. Do you want to watch Sleepless in Seattle now too?

So, the Clydesdale horses came to our little town last weekend and we bundled the kids up and headed to the promenade to see them. M's new schedule gives him every other Friday off so lucky for us we got some extra time with him!

It was a rainy, gray day but somehow we timed it all magically and got there right before the horses paraded by and we had front row spots. Like, reach out and touch the horses close. But we didn't. Because they are huge.

Lia was thrilled and not the least bit scared. I thought she would be nervous. Nico had no opinion on the big guys.

And then we went home for bean dip and tostadas. Because what else could have topped this off?

Lia: braids and red converse scream "childhood"! I hope we can keep her little as long as possible despite how much she's growing like a weed these days.

Nicolas: he's just the squishiest lately. And it's the best.

TWO MONTHS

Two months...

He still loves to eat, sleep and poop.
Smiles are honest to goodness real ones these days.
Hanging out in 0-3 month clothing with a few newborn holdouts.
Is growing that belly. And those cheeks? Swoon!
Still a fan of babywearing.
Focuses on toys hanging in front of him.
Dealing with cradle cap.
Does this crazy bobble head move and inadvertently headbutts us constantly.
In love with his swing.
He's a drool machine some days.
Always grabbing at something. Usually my hair (ouch!).
Sleeps in his crib.
And can do 5-6 hour stretches at night.
Spends a lot of time in Target, guys.
Still adores his big sister.
Has mixed feelings on bathtime.
But he loves hanging out on his tummy.

This one's charming I tell you.

Lia: hanging out with her cousin and his dirt bike.

Nicolas: hanging out at grandmas. This guy's little personality is starting to show more and more and he's seriously the sweetest.

AROUND HERE

March 6, 2015

I basically stare at cute faces all day, every day. Also, I wear babies and messy buns. I make lots of sandwiches and attempt to put dinners together. I joined a book club! And mostly we talk about girl stuff and being mamas but it's fun and guarantees me a few hours once a month off kiddo duty.

The laundry is a mountain again. Because isn't that riveting stuff to read about? And, we hung up some frames and remixed the gallery wall a bit. It helped with my itch to do some sort of home project. Although, I'm really dreaming of a craft wall like this one and a black bathroom.

Nicolas is sleeping in his crib! Somehow it just happened without any hard work. It was really all Manny's doing. Lia is eating tacos. And chili. And bell peppers if they are chopped teeny tiny and mixed in with big bites of other food. Which makes dinner time slightly less hair-pulling. Oh, and she's signed up for kindergarten. Cue all the sad, ugly tears from me. I'm still wondering how we got there so fast.

This two kid thing feels natural now. At least as natural as it can when some days I think I'm going crazy and can't possibly be doing a good job at this. Although the smiles mean I must be doing something right.

But really, everything is okay! And since both kids are napping at the same time, which is a rarity, I'm off to fold laundry and catch up on Scandal.

BECAUSE IT WAS 70 DEGREES...

We ditched my plans of being lazy at home between school and ballet and tossed some snacks & diapers in my bag and headed to the park!

It felt like we hadn't been in ages. Probably because we haven't. Some days the thought of getting us all dressed and out of the house to chase one kid at the park while holding another isn't my favorite and other days it's just been too cold/rainy/gray & blah blah blah to leave our cozy living room.

But Tuesday! Bless all that is sunny and 70, Tuesday we went to the park. I almost forgot how cute L looks in simple dresses and Nico finally showed some skin. And those tiny toes? The. Best. Ever.

I'm not so sure what happened to our typical March weather but I guess we'll roll with this colder stuff for now. Here's hoping our sunshine and warmer temps come out from hiding!

I'm looking forward to...

Celebrating some special birthdays.
Making a few more trips to our the daffodil fields.
Planning Easter outfits for the kids!
Making these treats with Lia.
Hanging out at the park.
Rompers for Nicolas.
Another fun night at book club.
And, maybe a house project. I'm itching to do something.

Here's to you, March.
