ANOTHER BEACH NIGHT

We went to the beach a few weeks ago. It's that time of the year where we take a drive to the ocean in the evening when the tourists are few and the temperatures haven't reached scorching yet and it feels like pure magic. I'm always the one to say "we should do this more often" and "let's make this tradition last" and then it always gives way to life and school and "being busy".

Living pretty close to the sea, we've got some beach babes. They both love the sand and water and have no problem staying for hours on end. We saw a jellyfish. Remembered to shuffle our feet to avoid stingrays. Made sand roads for red plastic boats. Ate pizza. Squished our toes in the sand. And no one was harmed by sea creatures.

I remember sitting on the same beach last May with the tiniest babe growing in my belly and feeling completely bittersweet that it was our last string of evenings spent on this beach with just one kid. So, here's to the nights we spend here!
